“It is more blessed to give than to receive.” ~ Apostle Paul Not that long ago I met up with a family in our School who shared with me a strategy they had for teaching their child that in everything they had, they needed to look out for those who didn’t have as much. In this manner, every week, together with their child, they would look around their house and decide together on an item that they thought someone else might like to use. After doing so, they would then pile into their car, and take their child to the Salvation Army Donation bin where they would then give away the item they had chosen. Pancake Kick Off

On Monday we had our pancake breakfast to start the new year. Thank you to all our families that attended and to those who helped out. Many pancakes were consumed and were enjoyed by all. We are already looking forward to sharing another pancake breakfast with our school community at the close of the year.

Communication Channels

It’s Parent Info Night tonight and we are running three sessions for parents this time. It is the same session repeated three times to allow parents to make it to the classrooms of different children. It may also allow one parent to be at home with the kids and then the other parent to come home after the first session and take over duties to allow the other parent to make the last session. We hope it helps families to cover things more effectively. Communication with your child’s teacher is really important to good relationships and better learning for our children.
